About Dominika Wroblewska
Gdansk, Poland
Biography
Dominika is a freelance illustrator based in GdaĆsk, Poland, specialising in reportage illustration and writing. She likes to observe and analyse the world around her. She's fascinated by the topic of repetition. She explores the idea of drawing as a form of sport, pushing the limits of where a drawing can be made. A good example is her long-term project capturing those who meander through subterranean cave systems. She seeks out situations, where she can capture people 'in action'. She likes to speed-draw in difficult circumstances to experience how drawing under pressure allows the subconscious to do the work. All that said, she also likes to draw when nothing happens.
Awards
She's an author of two books: (the) Cave Starter Pack, and (the) Corona Journal.
You can read an in-depth interview with her in a book titled \"Reportage Drawing: Vision And Experience\" by Louis Netter.
