Artist Q&A

Artist Q&A – Joining and working with Lucurate

1. Who can join Lucurate?
Any artist who creates original, human-made art is welcome. We value authenticity and creativity, no AI-generated works are accepted.

2. Who owns the rights to the artwork?
The artist always owns full rights to their work. Lucurate only receives a license to use the artwork during the agreed collaboration period.

3. What happens if I decide to leave Lucurate?
If you end your collaboration, your license with Lucurate ends as well.
However, Lucurate retains the right to use and sell your approved designs until the end of the agreed period.
All pending royalties will still be paid out according to our terms.

4. How long am I committed to stay with Lucurate?
The initial commitment period is six months, with a three-month written notice for termination. This ensures stability for both the artist and the platform.

5. Who decides which designs are printed on which products?
This is decided together with Lucurate’s product team, but the artist always has the final say.
The product range evolves continuously with new materials and partners.

6. Can I change or add products or designs later?
Yes, you can. We recommend doing updates once per quarter to keep collections organised and consistent.

7. Are there limits to how many artworks or products I can submit?
No, there are no strict limits. We suggest a minimum of three artworks and three products.
Availability depends on Lucurate’s current production partnerships.

8. What if I want my design on a product you don’t currently offer?
Just contact the product team. We’ll review your suggestion and see if we can make it happen through one of our partners.

9. How are royalties and payments handled?
Lucurate believes those who create should earn the most.

Artists receive the largest share of each sale, while the platform keeps a small portion to cover production and operational costs.

10. How and when do I get paid?
Payments are based on actual sales reports automatically generated by our e-commerce system.
Your royalties are paid monthly, no later than 14 days after the end of the following month.

11. What information do I need to provide as an artist?
Each artist is required to complete the Artist Documentation Form and submit information, images, and a short biography.
This content will be used to create and maintain your personal artist page on the Lucurate portal.

12. Can I see my sales and performance data?
Yes. Artists have access to live sales reports and monthly summaries showing performance, earnings, and customer interest.

13. Can I sell my artwork elsewhere while being part of Lucurate?
Yes. Unless otherwise agreed, your collaboration with Lucurate is non-exclusive. You decide how and where your art is shared.

14. What about marketing and visibility?
Lucurate promotes all artists through platform-wide campaigns, social media, and targeted advertising.
We also encourage artists to use their own channels, your voice matters as much as ours.

15. What is the “Featured Artist of the Month” program?
A paid opportunity open to all artists.

Featured Artists receive:

  • Prime visibility on Lucurate.com’s front page
  • Highlighted placement in our monthly campaign
  • Increased royalty rate during their feature month

16. Can I use Lucurate’s logo or branding in my own marketing?
Yes, you can, as long as it’s used respectfully and in line with our visual guidelines. A media kit is available upon request.
